Trick or Treat

Halloween takes on such a different meaning when you have kids. It brings you back to when Halloween was just as big as Christmas. We're starting to appreciate this "non-holiday" holiday again through Sean and Elise's eyes. Elise is just starting to get it and loves to wear her costume. She is still pretty shy and apprehensive about knocking on people's doors but luckily Cousin Kaya had no problem at all leading the charge. Sean didn't like wearing his costume very much but decided to just accept his fate and go with it. We ended up chasing him most of the night as he weaved in and out of people's legs and getting alot of attention because he was so small and such a cutie pie. This year's cast of characters included a fairy princess (Elise), turtle (Sean), flapper dancer (Cousin Kaya), and Minnie Mouse (Cousin Nyla).

The turtle and his friend, the duck

Sean didn't behave much like a turtle. We could barely keep up with him as he ran across people's lawns and tried to make a break for the street every chance he got.

Cousin Nyla chilling in the wagon and completely content. Her sister, Kaya, did all the legwork for her by asking for an extra piece of candy each time she got one.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to HMB with our friends Christian, Gen, and their sons, Ronan and Callum to pick out the perfect pumpkins. The kids had a great time running through the fields and climbing over hundreds of pumpkins.
