Halloween 2006

For Halloween this year, Elise dressed up as a monkey. It seemed fitting especially since she was born the Year of the Monkey. Although the concept of "trick or treating" was lost on her, she was fascinated by all the strangers who were dropping things in her bucket. She often wouldn't leave the doorway and stared at whoever was at the door. She was accompained by all of her Bui cousins who were much more adept at trick or treating than she was. After about 1 1/2 hours, Elise was totally pooped and had a bucket full of candy as a reward for all her hard work. Too bad she couldn't eat any of her loot and will have to wait til next year.

New York

Mom had a work trip to New York and decided to take the whole family on a very mini-vacation. It was only 4 days but we made the most of it. Dad and Elise spent two days in Central Park while Mom worked. Elise loved the sand most and running away from Dad. She liked wandering and exploring the park and didn't seem to care much for the slides or swings. On Saturday, the whole family spent the day in SoHo oohing and ahhing over the pretty things in the stores and trying to keep warm and dry from the storm.
