Sean's 1st and Elise's 3rd Christmas was mainly spent with family (ours and extended). This year, Elise was introduced to baking (Dad's expertise) and she loved it. Elise made cookies for her cousins and enjoyed playing with the flour more than anything else. At first, she was concerned about getting her hands dirty and would constanly wipe her hands when it got flour on them. But she quickly loved the texture and plowed (literally) into the whole bag and played for an hour. The results were a very a messy kitchen, a well-dusted Elise, and yummy cookies.

Dad and Elise at the beginning of the lesson

Elise taking a break to pose for the camera
Elise discovering how much fun it is to play with flour and literally elbow deep in it
Really getting into it now, Elise wanted some tools to help her scoop the little mounds of flour she created all over the countertop
When she was done, she was covered head to toe in flour and left little flour footprints all over the floor

Elise loves clementines (she can eat 4 at a time!) and learned to peel them herself
