Ava at 9-Months
Ava at 9-months is probably pretty typical of other 9-month olds. She rolls over very easily and is just starting to be mobile on her belly. She can twirl around on her belly and even slither a little forward by pushing off from her toes. She'll probably be crawling on all fours by Christmas. She is a very good eater and prefers chunky food over pureed food. We can already see two pearly white bottom teeth erupting from her gums. Verbally, she can say "dada" and "hi". When we take something from her that she wants, she protests and cries until something better is offered. Lately, she prefers Mom over anyone else and has a bit of stranger anxiety. At night, she is a solid sleeper but her naps are still unpredictable. Some days she naps for 2 solid 2-hour naps and other days it's no more than 45 minutes each time. She gleefully claps her hands and kick her feet when she is excited. Everything within reach goes straight into her mouth and she is still mastering the pincer grasp.
Her stats this month:
Height - 26.25" (13th percentile)
Weight - 16lbs. 4oz. (9th percentile)
By comparison Elise was only 24.25" and weighted 14lbs. 4oz. so she isn't the smallest after all
