Quick House Update
It's been a while since our last post but not because we don't have anything going on...more like too much going on right now. First, we decided to put our house up for sale and that led to opening a big can of worms with getting our house ready for sale. We basically moved every non-essential item into our tiny garage and live like no one lives here. It's like being a ghost in your own house. Between the open houses on Sundays and people touring the house during the week when we're at work, the house has to be "staged" every second of the day. Second, we moved out for two weeks and lived with Kim's parents in Daly City while our house was getting repaired. Third, we decided it was time to remodel Kim's parent's house after seeing how broken and dysfunctional everything was which means we have been running around buying cabinets, fixtures, flooring and paint. Fun stuff.
As for the kids, Elise's school moved to Redwood City which is much farther from where her old school was but they desperately needed a bigger space and now the yard is three times as large as the school. Sean has been going through severe separation anxiety. Don't know what brought this on but all of a sudden our independent little guy became Mr. Clingy and cries when one of us leaves the room and dropping him off at his daycare has become an emotional tug-of-war. Maybe it has to do with all the upheaval in our life and nothing is routine. Hopefully, now that we're back in our house, he'll settle again and return to normal.
