Christmas 2008

With our crazy work and Mom's travel schedule, we've all been looking forward to the last two weeks of the year. Where did all the time go? It feels like we time warped from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

As with tradition, we spent Christmas Eve with Steve's family in Fairfield. But let's hope our trip to the ER doesn't make the traditional activities. Under the watchful eye but not quick enough feet of Grandma Bui, Sean managed to hit his head on a ledge which left a half-inch gash above his left eye. Concerned the wound would not heal properly, we took him to the ER in Fairfield where he got 3 stitches. He screamed through the whole thing as it took 3 people to hold him down while they gave him numbing shots then sewed his cut. This pretty much summed up our night since we were all spent by the time we got back to the party so we decided to pack it up and head on home.

On Christmas day, we went to Cousin Jake's house and actually got to live through the night without any incident. The kids played well and the big hit of the night was a foam dart gun that got kids and adults all going at it.

This year, Elise understood the concept of "Santa" and asked for a Mickey Mouse doll. One of her loveys is a Minnie Mouse doll but since she thinks that all girls have baby brothers she wanted a baby brother for her Minnie Mouse which she refers to as "boy Minnie Mouse".

Lately, Sean has been lying on his side so he can see the wheels turning on his toy cars
