Happy 4-Month Birthday Sean

At four months, Sean is a cheruby, energetic baby boy who seems very eager to grow up. Not content with sitting still, he's usually kicking his way off your lap. When he is on his back, he is constantly fidgeting and sliding around. Sigh. Already the helpless bundle we brought home 4 months ago is breaking out of his little cocoon. Just the other day, we found him flipped over on his tummy after a nap. Now, when he's on his tummy, he has such determination in his eyes that all he wants to do is master his new skill. He squirms, kicks furiously, wiggles, screeches, and puts his head down in frustration. When he does manage to flip over, he smiles the most adorable gummy grin.

He sleeps like a sweet prince every night from 7pm to 7am like clockwork. Sometimes we hear him stirring in his crib and even talking a little but he always falls back asleep. When he wakes up, he's at his happiest, always greeting whoever comes to pick him up.

Sean still loves to suck his fingers and sometimes he has all 10 of them shoved in his mouth. He might actually be teething because he sure is a big drooler! His favorite activities are looking at his reflection in the mirror, sitting on our laps during meal times, swatting at his toys, and listening to us talk.

At this month's doctor's appointment, his stats were:

Weight: 14.5 lbs. (50th percentile)

Height: 24.75 inches (40th percentile)
