Preschool Update

After much nail biting and searching, come Fall, Elise will be attending Centennial Montessori School in San Mateo (just 10 blocks from our house). It was our first choice school and we were thrilled to get accepted. From 9:00am - 12:30pm 4 days a week, Elise will be in the 18 month to 3 year old classroom. We think she'll really thrive in this environment and if her "interview" was any indication, she won't have much separation anxiety. When Dad took her to the classroom for a trial run, she didn't even look back before walking in with the teacher and started playing. While Dad sat outside peeping through the window, Elise played with blocks, shape sorters, and even made a friend.

To help her transition to school, we decided to enroll her in their summer program which begins in a couple of weeks. Since it only meets for 3 weeks, we also enrolled her in the Peninsula Jewish Community Center's summer program which will take her through the rest of the summer. Phew! Somehow it all worked out and we are looking forward to having Elise make new friends and learning new things.
