Happy 18-Month Birthday Elise

Happy 18-months Elise! Now a full-fledge walker, Elise patters through our house in search of one of us. She still toddles a little and can't quite make turns so she ends up doing 360 spins a few times until she can slow herself down. A few weeks ago, she didn't know how to stop herself so she would come barreling down the hall, bounce off the walls a few times, then land in a full face plant. She would look up at us for a reassuring glance, get up, and do it all over again. Already, we are missing those hilarious moments as she finds firmer footing and falls less often. Yesterday, she figured out how to walk backwards which is fun for her but not good for us when she backs into things and hurts herself.

At this month's doctor's appointment, her vitals stats are:

Height: 31.50" (5 percentile)
Weight: 20lbs. 13 oz. (5-10 percentile)

Another change this month is that Mom found a new job at Sony PlayStation as the Marketing Manager for PlayStation 3. It's a very exciting move but the downside is that the hours are very long and working weekends are a given. Dad and Grandma Nguyen have had to pick up the slack but hopefully once PS3 launches in November things can slow down a bit.
