So Thoughtful

Elise is goofy as she is serious. This is one of her more serious looks at Dad, trying to figure what the big black thing he keeps holding all the time. Lately, she's had major mood swings which we guess is part of being a toddler. She threw her first tantrum a few weeks ago and that threw us for a big loop! All of a sudden our mild-mannered baby turned into a shrieking, kicking animal. And as quickly as she turned into Mr. Hyde, she calmed down just as fast. Her tantrums seem to turn on and off like a light switch. The trick it seems to find something else more interesting to distract her so she forgets whatever dangerous, life threatening thing she was doing earlier. For instance, she voices her frustration at us when we take her away from what she wants to do (like pulling on an electric cord) or when its bedtime and she just isn't ready (even though it's 10:00 o'clock).
